What is H&K Steel Sculptures®
and how are they made? The sculptures are the creation and work of the German
artist, Guenter Scholz. A staff of 400 European artisans under Guenter's direct
supervision has handcrafted each steel figure sculpture. Recycled steel and copper is
bent, cut, welded and brushed until the desired effect is achieved. Check out the
fascinating way Guenter and his fellow artisans have incorporated some basic known
materials into their works. The spark plug is my favorite.
The whimsical caricatures of people at play and at work are
recognized by the signature eyeglasses they all wear and the Certificate of Authenticity
included with every piece. There are no aspects of life that are untouched by his
